About the event
This workshop is about giving your kākahu a new chapter through simple, hands‑on making. You’ll stitch, paint, reshape, and play with different methods of reworking clothing, keeping it relaxed and creative. It’s fun and creative mahi toi that lets you explore ideas without pressure.
You’re welcome to bring a loved piece of clothing — something with meaning or memories — and reimagine it in a way that still feels and looks like you.
Whether you’re reinventing a favourite garment or experimenting with something you don’t mind messing with, the whole idea is to have fun working your expression, sustainability, and making kākahu that showcase your creativity.
